I'm having trouble formulating an opinion about Hedi Slimane's newest campaign (although, I must say that I'm leaning more toward the love side of the spectrum) for Pre-Fall 2013 at the helm of SLP. Opting for *slightly washed up* musicians instead of fashion models, the campaign stars a grungified Marilyn Manson, Courney Love, Ariel Pink (of Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti) and Kim Gordon (of Sonic Youth).

What do you think? Love it or loathe it?

Lula Magazine S/S 2013: Take My Love, Take It Down

It isn't often that I find an editorial as romantically wonderful as this one (seriously, it's now my desktop background). The spread is modeled by [faux] readhead Codie Young, shot by Damon Heath and styled by Leith Clark for Lula Magazine's Spring/Summer 2013 issue and charmingly titled, "Take My Love, Take It Down." I can't take my eyes off of this spread, probably because it's so genuinely whimsical and simply lovely. Everything from the hair (by Owen Gould) to the dramatic eye makeup (by Kristin Gallegos) to the silhouettes of the clothes oozes 1960's glamor/bohemian flower child and I can't get enough of it!

The Return of the Bermuda Short

It would seem that for the past few Spring seasons (which have seemed like eons to me) short shorts ruled the urban catwalk. This season, we're seeing hemlines fall to just above the knee (much to my excitement), which I see as a breath of fresh air. Love them or hate them, bermuda shorts are back! Seen on countless runways, including Rag & Bone, DKNY, Alexander Wang and Nicole Miller, I think it's safe to say that bermuda shorts are here to stay!

Lookbook Love: Ax and Apple

Ax + Apple designer, Jamie Lyn, uses objects such as world coins, men's pocket watch chains, pen knives and other knick knacks from a collection that she's accumulated to create jewellery that is modern with a vintage feel. The brand's most recent lookbook, "Year of the Snake" caught my interest with its artistic edge and  eye catching use of colour. Just see for yourself...
